Disembarkation: another silly change from Celebrity.

Our Debarkation sheet said:

"We have assigned numbers to all independent travelers with a departure time - please wait comfortably in any public lounge. If the time doesn't suit your plans, you do not need to change your numbered tags as the number is for recognition purposes only. All luggage will be available at 7:00 AM inside the terminal."

 

We didn't need to change our tags, just showed up when we wanted to - not sure if some times there will be a traffic jam or not - sounds like maybe it's a trial on some ships.

 

Did they do away with assigning certain lounges for Elite+, Aqua, etc. guests?

On this cruise, Elite and above met in Tuscan and Concierge on Opus 4. There was no mention of AQ in the Disembarkation tips - maybe an oversight?

Never seen a special disembarkation lounge for Aqua.

It's not a special lounge just for aqua but Aqua class pax are allowed (or have been in the past) to use the elite disembarkation lounge even if they have not attained their elite captain's club status. Last time ... this was in the Tuscan Grill but it was quite crowded so not sure if that was a real benefit.

How wonder how this is going to work with foreign ports where customs and immigration is involved. For example, we will be disembarking in Abu Dhabi this winter and from what my TA found out the immigration officials don't even begin to turn up before a certain time, 7 or 8 am.
