Luggage tage

We have received our docs and, as usual, there are pre-printed tags for our luggage. There are two tags per person. This is an 11-day cruise and four of us are female. I know we will have more than two bags to check. Does anyone know if we can get more of the pre-printed ones from the cruise line prior to arriving at the pier? I know we can get more there, but then we have to waste time filling them out.

We use mailing labels that come with our checks or via some other group and then we don't have to fill out the tags. Then, use a FAT, black, Magic Marker to put our room # on in big print. They need to see color of tag so they know what deck to take luggage to. Done this when we had to get out tags at pier as we have to do for New Years cruise. NCL emailed our docs and said to do this!

We have done a lot of back-to-back cruises. And we always arrive at the embarkation port several days ahead of the cruise and stay over at the dismebarkation port for a few days.

We used to have that problem about not getting enough luggage tags. Since our documents arrive 6 - 8 weeks before we cruise, our TA always checks over everything and makes certain that there are extra luggage tags since we take a lot of luggage. If there aren't enough there, she calls HAL and orders extras. One time the extra tags arrived at our house before we even had a chance to pick up our documents.

Actually for RCI the color of the tag corresponds to the ship, not to the deck. The only time it makes a difference is if you are in a suite, which has bright red marks on the tag in addition to the color for the ship.
