Question re Flight Time for those with Star Class Experience out of Port Canaveral

Dh and I are booked on Oasis for Nov of 2018 in a Royal Loft and following the cruise we will be flying to Aruba. According to our itinerary we will dock at 6:00 am . In the last few years Southwest has been the only carrier with decent flights from Orlando to Aruba and the flight is generally at the same time which is somewhere between 10 am and 11 am. Our alternative would be to drive to Miami after debark and take their evening flight.

Of course we have to wait and see whether the schedules vary for next year but Im not anticipating significant changes.

So my question is this....with Star debarkation likely/not likely we could be in a cab by 7 am to get to the Orlando airport and checked in by 8 am(assuming a 10 am flight) ?

We could have been at MCO as early as 8:15 this morning with no priority debarkation (on the curb at port at 7:30 after coming down for walk-off at 6:20). As it was we had to wait for our prearranged car so got to MCO at 8:45.

The security line at MCO was quite long so it will help immensely if you have Precheck.

We were Sky Class on Oasis 2 weeks ago. The concierge escorted us off the ship at 7:45 and 8:30. You can certainly ask for an earlier escort, but looks like you'll have to do Self Disembark and stand in line. I will say this. We were escorted off at 7:45. Found our luggage and got a porter. Were out of the port by 8:15. Not sure that helps you or not. You might try emailing the Concierge and see what they can do to expedite your departure.

Papa, they are sailing Star Class so they should have the help of their Genie through the process. Your time frames should help them out though.

Thanks everyone. I'm thinking having read this and other posts that either we'll drive to Miami(which means we'd have to deal with AA the weekend before American Thanksgiving and the MIA airport....yuch !!!!), or wait to fly to Aruba the next day. A bit too much uncertainty for dh along the lines of it "might" work but if anything goes wrong it won't. Perhaps we'll get lucky and the Southwest flight will leave later in the day next year...one can always hope :)

On another note A&L...I've read some of you Star class reviews, and your most recent Harmony review where you indicated you'd be doing a *class review separately. Have you done so and I've just missed it or should I still wait in anticipation :) ?

We just came back from the Oasis on Sunday being in an OS. I see no reason you can't make that flight from MCO. We did luggage valet, which won't work for you. But you can get off the ship as early as 7:00 AM if she docks on time by using self assist. If you don't want to do that then apply for the earliest departure tags. Get a porter as they clearly have priority through the lines. TSA pre-check would be a huge bonus.

Flying the weekend prior to Thanksgiving is bad. But usually Friday and Saturday are the horrible days and then Wednesday. My thought would be spend Sunday night at the Hyatt inside MCO and fly on Monday from MCO. That way you take your time getting off the ship, maybe do a side trip, end up at the airport hotel in the late afternoon, have a nice dinner (the Hyatt restaurant is pretty decent), then fly early on Monday to Aruba.

We walked off Sunday around 9:00 AM and were at the curb by 9:20 AM. We did not use the escort, but there is a suite exit line that takes you to the head of the CBP inspection line. You have to look for it. But it's just to the right as you enter the luggage claim area. There was a rope across the entrance. But as we walked up and showed our suite cards she just waived us in. The CBP interview took less than a minute.

You've actually hit pretty well what we have planned in it's still broad strokes at this time. We have a bunch of Hyatt points so that would work really well, and I do like the hotel at the airport, but we may end up at Disney for the day and then do California Grill for dinner. I've wanted to see Disney with the Xmas décor for a while so this might be our chance.

The complicating factor for us is that we're Canadian, so sometimes we have had a bit more difficulty moving through US Immigration quickly...lol. I know we could not do self assist because we'll have 2 big pieces each + carryon since we'll be travelling for over 3 weeks.
