Room Service Charges on Navigator

Will be sailing on Navigator in December. Thought I read somewhere that they are now charging $7.95 for room service during the day. Can someone tell me if this is true? Thanks!

Yes, there is now a $7.95 room service charge on all ships for everything except continental breakfast. Suites GS and above still get free room service.

On the bright side, that $7.95 applies to the entire cabin's order; no matter how much you get.

My recollection is that RC said the new room service charge included gratuities, but I cannot find anything in writing to back that up, so I have to say I don't really know for sure.

Someone please report back if this includes the tip for the person that brings the food? If it does, this isn't too bad. I usually give them a $5 anyway. I see on the RC site that an 18% gratuity charge is ALSO added to this amount. I'm assuming that I'm not going to give anything more. Thanks!
