What sake is available at the Sake Bar?

Just curious to find out if they offer more choices than "hot" or "cold." Please only reply if you can answer the question. Thanks.

Just off the Gem and answering my own question. There are two options -- hot and cold. They are both acceptable lower priced sake of no particular distinction. Neither is from Japan. Neither is premium, despite NCL frequently promoting the premium sake at the Sake Bar with their on board video monitors. It would be difficult for them to have anything less.

I agree...I had the cold Sake twice (Teppanyaki and Sushi) on our recent cruise and thought it was just OK. Now that I read your review I wish I had tried the hot as well to compare.

We went to the Sake bar on the Jade earlier this year. Neither of us had tried Sake before and the barman was very knowledgeable. He offered us a sample of the two types of Sake available, that being filtered (clear) and unfiltered (cloudy), we then chose and this was available on the UBP. There seemed to be a number of brands available and I'm sure we could have had it hot or cold if we had requested that, Didn't matter that much in the end as neither of us were that keen.

Good to know. I was hoping that this was just a flaw on the Gem and that they would not have a sake bar with only two choices.
