eGiftcard vs physical giftcard

Hi, I will be on board this Sunday and getting ready to purchase couple of discount giftcards to load them on my S&S account. Do I have to have the physical giftcard or can I just use the egiftcard numbers and pins at the customer service desk? I am hoping it's the latter because it would be too late for the physical card now.

Just print out the e-giftcard with the card numbers and PIN, and you can have them loaded onto your S&S account once you are onboard.

If you do the egift, I don't think you even get anything in the mail, but not certain about that.

I've used egiftcards on several cruises...you should be good to go as long as you have card number and pin. I save the emails too my phone and just read them off from there...the less stuff to print the better or carry around the better.

Fantastic! Thank you all for the responds. I will go grab some egifts now. Sunday is not here fast enough....lol.

I save the email notice, then print out the egift card, write my name and cabin # on them and turn them into guest services as needed. This way, if I happen to lose the printout, no one else can use it on board and I have the electronic record as well.

Thanks! I got my AARP ones the day before our last minute cruise... but was wondering if I should have gotten the e-gift cards. Next time, I'll do it.
