Platinum gift

Noticed on JH page that the new stainless cups would be out near end of this month toward beginning of November, wonder if that will actually happen according to schedule. However, will be happy with whatever freebie there is at the time. :D

On Magic this week, Platinum received Bluetooth speakers, and Diamond received stainless mugs.

Actually we will be sailing on the Magic in couple of weeks, that's why I was curious. Didn't notice that he stated it was different gifts for different levels. Oh well were only platinum so guess it's the speakers again, lol. Just wondered if cups were available, don't know how many speakers we would actually utilize with the 2 of us, one seems enough lol.

I wonder if the stainless mugs are made in China. I'm convinced that anything made there leaches lead and other impurities into food and drink containers and I refuse to use them.

I hope the speaker is still available on Glory the week of 11/4.

It’s possible that this is the transition week from speakers to cups. We are doing B2B, so we will see what happens next week. Most of our group is Diamond, but there are a couple of Platinums.

We received blue tooth speakers in May and left them since we don't have a blue tooth. For our upcoming cruise in 2 weeks, we would leave phone speakers, too, since we don't have cell phones. Not sure about aluminum cups - depends on size and what they look like. The best Platinum gifts we received last year were the small duffle bags. We travel a lot and have used them many times. We don't keep the Carnival pins either....not sure why we would.

Well never really thought about this before. Just looked at the bottom of my yeti mug which I drink out of all the time and guess what made in China [emoji23]. Oh well guess I’m doomed [emoji15]

I really don't care what the gift is as long as it is not some stationary box or basket or round wooden container! Had enough of those. Would love drink container or speaker.

Never realized that paper could be made that thin. Glad to see the stationary is gone.

I check the label on everything that comes in contact with food or drink.

I shudder whenever I read how people buy cheap cups at WalMart or Target to bring on their cruises.

I love my Tervis Tumblers. Best Diamond and Platinum gift so far. We have 18 of the 16-oz. Carnival Tumblers and eight Tervis water bottles that were purchased.

My wife is with you, won't use anything made in China.

Well I wouldn’t consider a Yeti tumbler cheap by any means. Have them in all sizes. Also have Tervis tumblers in different sizes as well as the ones from Carnival, however they don’t keep items cold [emoji17]. Like I said earlier guess I’m doomed. But they do state on Yeti website that it is stainless steel. But I agree about the cheaper knock-offs not sure what it is made of [emoji848]

Just off the Glory on 10/28 and the platinum gift was the stainless mug.

After getting home from the Dream a few weeks ago, I realized I hadn't received the D&P gift during that cruise. We had gotten so much stuff being on a casino promo fare that I never noticed the D&P gift hadn't been delivered.

I've had that happen in the past, but it has been quite some time ago. I also remember after that happened to me, I received a VIFP survey post-cruise where they specifically asked if I received the P/D gift.

Lots of people have posted here in the past that if they preferred one recent P/D gift over another, they've been successful in trading it in at Guest Services for the preferred gift. You might try that if you don't receive the recent gift you prefer.
