Casino deals

I know people get really great deals on future cruises if they visit the casino.

My question is this...does anyone know what you actually have to spend to make that happen?

Thanks~

It’s not what you spend. It’s what you play.

You might only spend (lose) $500. You might play $5000.

You might spend nothing but play $10,000.

What kind of deal you get will depend on your play.

Play $1000, they might give you an OBC.

Play $5000, they might comp you an inside cabin.

Etc. etc.

Here's the thing, if you don't enjoy gambling in the Casinos. Don't go and try get a free cruise from there. That itself is a gamble. You have to earn 2500 points to earn a free cruise. I know for slots, every $5 you bet = 1 point. So yes you would have to bet $12500 on slots to earn a free cruise. Sounds like alot but thats how much youve wagered not counting how much you've gotten back. You could've gotten back $13000 or maybe only $12000 over the length of the cruise from your bets. You can be up 4 figures by the time you hit 2500 points, or you can be down 4 figures. That part depends on how lucky you are. As I said you go to Casino to have fun and if you happened to earned a free cruise at the end, it's a nice bonus.

Not that it is a big difference, but unless it recently changed it should be 2400 points for a free cruise in an inside cabin.

I usually play minimum bet on penny slots and hubby plays ultimate Holdem usually betting the min unless he does really well. We both get Casino discounts and have been offered free cruises via email in the past but never because of points on the ship - we never get enough points. Next time you are looking to book, give Casino Royale a call to see if you have any offers and if not what your Casino rate would be on that sailing. For us the Casino rate is always cheaper than the price online. I think you must have sailed in the last 12 months and obviously gambled on that sailing.

Our upcoming cruises (B2B Navigator in January 2018) we used the Casino Rate. We actually received free cruises, but the timing didn't work for our schedules. We were in the casino every day...and we enjoy gambling. Most of my time is at the tables. I have a budget...I can't tell you what you need to gamble to get rates, etc.

Does anybody know how points are accumulated at the table games? I know I give them my card when I first sit down and get my chips and they know how much cash I'm trading in for chips, but after that they have no idea how much I bet or if I even bet at all. I could go right over to the cashier and cash them all back in. So if it's just calculated on how much cash you fork over for chips in the beginning, there's a flaw in their plan.

Does anybody know how it works?

I can never figure out how much time/bet is required for a certificate for table play. I try to figure it out but I just get a headache! I play the way I have always played in the past and occasionally I get a certificate. I agree with the poster who said don’t play just to try for a certificate. That is usually a losing strategy. Ok

So... I have been a member of club Royal (for many years) I have a very clear understanding of how it works as I only play tables (roulette)

1. They do note what your initial buy in when you sit down is (whether it's cash or you give them chips)

2. Your points are based on. Average bet, Length of play, and Number of hands. (they pile this all into what they come up with as a theoretical) as others have said... It's about how many $$ you play through over what period of time.

When you leave they table they have a very good idea how much you left with as well. Because I always talk to the dealers and bit boss, I typically tell them. (but in my experience they have a very good idea of what it is)

That being said, it is always a good idea to check in with the casino host and see what your play is.. As sometimes there is a mistake like accidentally marking $50/ hand instead of $150 (it will drastically impact your average)
