lilone Posted November 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted November 29, 2017 Hi Everyone, We have two groups... the first group of 13 people will land at FLL at 4:10 pm. The second group of 18 will land in FLL after 7 pm. We are all staying in Miami at Marriott Biscayne Bay hotel the night before our cruise. Any suggestions on transportation to the hotel at these times? Thanks in advance.
CruiserBruce Posted November 29, 2017 #2 Share Posted November 29, 2017 There are dozens of threads here answering these exact questions. Shuttles later in the day get fewer and further between, and may even go up in price. Check with any of the very commonly mentioned shuttle services here: SAS, Jiffy Jeff, QLS and a couple others. This is one reason why it is commonly recommended here to stay in Ft Lauderdale, and shuttle the next day to PortMiami. The other one is it is usually cheaper in Ft Lauderdale. The other options are Uber/Lyft, and on the more expensive side, taxi and Limo.
JohninDC Posted November 29, 2017 #3 Share Posted November 29, 2017 For groups that large I would investigate private transfers - GO Airport, South Florida Limo and Larry's Limos are often suggested. 3 or 4 UberXL vehicles could handle the passengers plus bags, but you are looking at about $70 per car.

kayjay76 Posted December 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2017 This is our second cruise with a large group like yours. Last year we had 19 and all on same flight. This year we have 13 coming in morning and 15 coming in at night... all flying to FLL and staying in Miami night before cruise. We are doing the same as we did last year..... We used suppershuttle.com. They were great! Select one or 2 people to be in charge of collecting $$ beforehand and booking. We had everyone pay before to the person that was booking ahead of time (3 weeks prior to cruise). ( their vans fits 10) For the am flight We will make 1 reservation for private shuttle for 6 people and another private reservation for 7 people. Each shuttle comes to 111.00 plus tip. So what we did was add the 2 and a couple extra bucks tip then divided the price. 111 x 2 = 222. comes to 17 pp and add 3$ each for tip. So 20$ per person. For the other group you can book 9 and 10 people per van 111 x 2 = 222 comes to 11pp then tip so 14$ pp. They also always have 10% off discount codes so search the internet. Can you maybe find a few bucks cheaper per person? maybe. But they were great.... easy to book, they have an app, we weren't sharing rides with anyone else, waiting maybe 10 minutes after getting luggage and easy to find right out of baggage claim. They also have a stand right outside the cruise port for your flights home. We didn't make any reservations for that one... just told them we had 19 people and they gave us the discounted rate and off we went.
daniny Posted December 1, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We always use Jiffy Jeff Transportation for our transfers from Fort Lauderdale airport to Miami airport of Miami. Great customer service and friendly drivers. Highly recommend. They are five star rated on tripadvisor.
