carlp Posted December 1, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 1, 2017 rather than purchase any of the drink packages, we're considering the $250 beverage card. can someone explain how the card works. is it good for any drink -coffee- water, including on Half-Moon Cay. Do they just keep deducting the cost from the card. thanks
catl331 Posted December 1, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2017 Yes, it works just like a gift card, with the drink price and 15% service charge deducted from the remaining balance ... but it does work on Half Moon Cay or for your minibar. They need electronics at the bars to put it to use. There are none in the mini bar nor at HMC. Otherwise, it works just fine everywhere on the ship :)

Krazy Kruizers Posted December 1, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 1, 2017 We like the Beverage cards as it means that I don't have to check tons of receipts at the end of the cruise. If you have anything left on the card, it will be refunded to your credit card. You can even use the cards to buy bottles of wine. If you pre-order the cards, your name will be on the card. Sometimes I pre-order them but if we have a lot of shipboard credit, then I wait until we are on the ship to buy the cards.
