Can I check in at a different time than my cabin mate

I know this has been asked before but after a lengthy search i can't find the answers.

I am cruising with a friend who lives in a different part of the country. We may end up arriving at the port at different times. Can we check into our cabin separately at different times or does the first one to arrive need to wait?

Thank you for your help.

As long as you both have your individual boarding pass, passport, and approved charge card, there should be no issue.
