CreativeCruiser25 Posted December 17, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Since we are on a cashless system on the Liberty of the Seas cruise on Dec 24th, I have a question for the group? Even though while on the ship, I have purchased my drink card, what are the Non Free things that I should be aware of while on board that could go against my credit card on file? I appreciate everyone's comments.
happymanitee Posted December 17, 2017 #2 Share Posted December 17, 2017 If you add tips to any drinks you buy Spa services Purchases in any store Any specialty restaurants Arcade games Cupcakes in the cupcake shop Ice cream at Ben & Jerry’s Any classes that have the $ beside them in the cruise compass Room service other than complementary breakfast items Automatic gratuities if you didn’t prepay
LizzyDragon Posted December 17, 2017 #3 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Probably easier to list what is free: -Dining in the Windjammer/MDR. Specialty restaurants have additional charges. -Entertainment is free -Gym is free (some classes have a charge) -Some activities are free. Ones that have a charge are marked as such in the cruise compass Some of the stuff that has a charge include -Shore excursions (can get off the boat and walk around for free) -Spa -In-Room Dining (other than continental breakfast) - Gratuities (can be paid in advance when booking the cruise) You’ll know when your account is being charged as staff will ask for your seapass card and present a receipt to sign. Activities that have a charge are also indicated in the compass.
internetwhiz Posted December 17, 2017 #4 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Many classes are pay. Jewelry making, martini tasting, guacamole making, etc
SRF Posted December 17, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Basically if they give you a piece of paper to sign, it is likely that you will pay extra for that. If in doubt, ASK.
Clarea Posted December 17, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Basically if they give you a piece of paper to sign, it is likely that you will pay extra for that. If in doubt, ASK. Or if they ask for the SeaPass card.
internetwhiz Posted December 17, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 17, 2017 If they have a $ sign on it in the cruise compass.
WhiskeyTangoFoxtrot Posted December 17, 2017 #8 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Nothing is free. You’ve paid in one way or another for everything aboard.
Grandma Dazzles Posted December 17, 2017 #9 Share Posted December 17, 2017 They will ask for your Seapass card and charge will be billed if you do anything or purchase anything that is not an included or free activity. The exception that I can think of is photographs. You can get your picture taken and sometimes they ask for your Seapass card - they don't always ask, but you are not billed. Photographs are displayed and you only pay for the ones you choose to keep.
internetwhiz Posted December 17, 2017 #10 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Nothing is free. You’ve paid in one way or another for everything aboard. I think a better word is “complimentary.” However, it’s just semantics anyway. All they are asking is what will cost onboard other than the cruise fare you paid. internetwhiz Posted December 17, 2017 #11 Share Posted December 17, 2017 Other things that would go on the seapass are bingo and slot tournaments ( sometimes they have one complimentary one)
steveru621 Posted December 17, 2017 #12 Share Posted December 17, 2017 There probably won't be a drink card. If it is sold, three days left in your cruise.

Clarea Posted December 17, 2017 #16 Share Posted December 17, 2017 I bought the deluxe drink package Then the drink card won't be of any use to you.
