  1. If the last four months is any indication there is a good chance you will see 30% off and a possibility you will see 35% off. Off of what is a key part of the equation. My 35% off got me it at 70$ a day. With gratuity I am am $82.5/day all in. I have seen the 30% pop up pretty regularly but the 35% only once so far. It definitely varies by ship and your specific cruise.
  2. I would think I know something the rest of you don't. What type of computer am I using, where did I go to college, what number am I thinking of...? As far as the drink package not being allowed at private islands by RCL, I don't know anything the rest of you don't. Royal has shown all additional forms of revenue are up for consideration. Many cruise lines do not honor the drink package on their private islands. It is my opinion Royal will do the same and not honor the drink package at their private islands in the near future. That is just my opinion, guess or prediction. They developed these private islands so they get all or most of the revenue from their port stops. I hope I am wrong.
  3. It is Royal’s system and their system dictates when buying a guarantee it is for a category of stateroom. The system allows you to change specific rooms in that category. No gaming involved. Not sure what you don’t understand or why you have a problem with the system Royal has decided they want to use.
  4. Sorry, I must have misunderstood. It sure sounded like your post from 9/1 indicated you expected the stock to react the same way this earnings as it had last earnings. That would be a stock reacting the same way twice. “I'm hoping for a break below 96 to buy my shares back but before next earnings. Ido expect another pop next earnings. ”
  5. Haven’t you said that you expect the stock to react the same way it did before on earnings? isn’t that a stock reacting the same way twice?
  6. I like coco cay a lot. A beach is a beach and this one is easy walking distance, has amenities or areas with just a chair, drink package and food included. A cheap, easy access beach that doesn’t cost extra is pretty cool once you’ve been to all the islands. Having said that I do not like to go in the winter. The water will be cold and the air can be cold. I also won’t like it when they no longer allow the drink package. Just my opinion but that is coming.
  7. I remember him. He posted picture intensive reviews before that was a common occurrence. I enjoyed them. I always found it very concerning that he would eat that way and smoke when he had so many health issues, was advancing in age and was such a big guy. I guess he was happy with his quality of life and it was his life to do what he wanted. RIP.
  8. Depends on the time of year. I don't want Nassau to be as far South as I get in the winter. If you don't care that it might not get above the low 70s and that the water will be chilly then I would pick Utopia.
  9. I believe you but I don't get it. You are paying for the food in the MDR, WJ, Solarium....Why would you eat just to finish the plate, especially on a cruise. You can always get more food later somewhere else rather than feeling like you are going to bust. Whatever floats your boat is cool with me but I don't get it.
  10. Don't most people only eat what they want and leave the rest whether in the MDR, specialty or any restaurant?
  11. But there is. If there weren't weather systems it wouldn't have been cancelled either.
  12. I had purchased the beer and wine package more than once on RCCL. It was always $35 a day. No price fluctuations during the couple years I bought it.
  13. You are so wrong. Jassy has a comp package like an nfl player. Front loaded, guaranteed money. $200mil for 10 years. With his chump change salary of $1.3, his package is over $21mil a year for the next 10 years. this is a more accurate portrayal of his comp package: In 2021 Jassy received a stock grant valued at more than $200 million tied to his promotion to CEO, with the shares vesting over 10 years. “This award is designed to establish a long-term owner’s perspective and encourage bold, long-term initiatives, in the same manner that Mr. Bezos’s shares as founder incentivized him to focus on long-term, expansive growth, and is intended to represent most of Mr. Jassy’s compensation for the coming years,” Amazon’s board wrote in the new proxy
  14. You pick one specific year of compensation that fits whatever point you think you’re making. That doesn’t tell any useful story. Look at total average comp over 10 years. That will give you more than an anecdotal example. No CEO of a Fortune 500 company is going to work for 1.5 million every year unless they already have taken a billion dollars of stock in comp already. Steve Jobs may have taken $1 in salary in one year but over the course of 10 years he received billions in comp.
  15. You sure those numbers are total compensation and not just salary? Sounds very low for a CEO of a multi billion dollar company.
  16. I've been tracking the price for my five night cruise. It has been holding steady at $884 for two people including tax & tip. Checked today and the price finally went down to $825. Hard to believe $82 per person, per day (including tax & tip) seems like a bargain.
  17. I have found the hotels around the port are much more expensive than a comparable hotel in Orlando, I always stay by the port but this cruise I am considering staying in Orlando since my flight arrives around 5pm the day before the cruise.
  18. After reading this topic it seems like NCL has their standards exactly inline with their customers expectations. If you have disgusting items on the bottom of your foot after walking in your cabin, obviously blame the foot. Cabin not ready until 4:30 (and even then not really ready)? Has to be the problem of the completely unreasonable passenger. With the blind loyalty NCL passengers have I can’t believe they are not the largest, most profitable and well reviewed mass market cruise line in the industry.
  19. In the words of Vince Lombardi, act like you’ve been there before.
  20. This shows you have no idea what you are talking about. A casino does not look at how much you lost when giving out a comp, the house advantage takes care of this. A casino looks at how much you gamble and what you are gambling on. From there they know how much you will lose over time. The odds spread out over all the gamblers takes care of the profit.
  21. Your actions do not affect their bottom line. A 'wrong" move by a player will help you as many times as hurt you.
