World Cruise

A couple of questions:

 

1. Is anybody out there blogging and/or doing a live thread on the World Cruise?

2. Is it true that a new world cruise is normally announced during the world cruise 2 years earlier?

 

I have my commitments for 2018 and 2019 but am starting to think about 2020.

I am thinking about doing one but it all depends on my blogging learning curve.

The cruises are announced almost two years in advance.

We were unaware of that and booked in June 2016 for February 2018. Do not leave it that long.

Cunard keeps changing the release date of world voyages.

The 2013 WV was announced in June (possibly beginning of July) of 2011.

The 2014 WV was not released until August of 2012 and booking opened, IIRC, on September 5, 2012.

There was no mention of the 2016 WV during the 2014.

 

Since then Cunard has started announcing earlier (in my opinion because most of the other lines that do a world voyage announce earlier). Now they may possibly do the same as HAL and announce on the WV but I have not heard anything about it.

The 2019 World Cruise itineraries were announced during the 2017 World Cruises - I think some time in March.

Thanks all. Bananavan I do hope a blog will work for you. My thought is no LONG world cruise again but I'll be keeping my eye out for 2 or 3 segments (possibly on multiple lines) that will fit together.

Yes, they were announced while I was on QE during the first ten days of March.
