Carnival Splendor future

Splendor is remaining with Carnival; the latest cruise open for booking is August 31, 2019. Her schedule beyond that has yet to be announced.

P&O is receivnig Golden Princess instead.

Then I better sail on Golden Princess before she becomes a part of P&O fleet! It kind of makes sense because they would have to refit Splendor much more than Golden P. since Princess and P&O have similar decors while Carnival is very different!

There are not enough people in Australia to support more than a few ships. There are only about 24 million people there. Compare that to California's nearly 40 million and you can understand why the Splendor is scheduled through fall of 2019 sailing from Long Beach.

In looking at the changes being made to the Port of Long Beach and the Dome terminal I think more sailings may be in store. Perhaps other Carnival Corp. brands may come to Long Beach.

Bruce, Is that because she is the sister ship of Costa Concordia?

I see what you did there.

I guess you could say so about the Concordia class but she’s unique to the carnival fleet being the only ship in her class....for carnival.
