SherriZ366 Posted December 29, 2017 #1 Share Posted December 29, 2017 Question for those who have sailed on Oasis of the seas in the last few weeks -- Is Late Seating on Oasis 7:30 PM or 8 PM. When we cruised on OA in late November, they were trying 7:30 PM as a Late Seating time. On cruises originating out of Port C, early seating is "hot". Many of the cruisers are from Central Florida. Don't know if it's permanent, but 7:45pm seems too early for late seating.
bwest the man Posted December 29, 2017 #5 Share Posted December 29, 2017 On the 17th sailing this month it was 7:45 the first night and 7:30 the other nights. It was really only about half full all week. Early dinning was packed according to the crew, and my time dining was also very popular. I liked the time personally as 5:30 is way to early to eat, but any later than 7:30 you run into issues with show times on Oasis.
baileybrad Posted December 29, 2017 #6 Share Posted December 29, 2017 The week of 12/17 - 12/24, the late seating was 7:30 every night.
taglovestocruise Posted December 29, 2017 #7 Share Posted December 29, 2017 7:30 is way to early, lose a hour of diamond lounge.

Don't know if it's permanent, but 7:45pm seems too early for late seating. It was 7:45 PM for the first night and 7:30 PM for the rest of the nights -- even earlier. It changed the rhythm of the Diamond Lounge. We ate at Coastal Kitchen (in JSs) every night at 8 PM so we had our favorite dining time.

SherriZ366 Posted December 30, 2017 Author #12 Share Posted December 30, 2017 Strange timing. Sometimes I wonder if they are changing the times in order to kill off traditional dining. As it is the only 7 day ship to do it, I think they are meeting their Port C market -- folks from lots of over-55 communities on cruises especially during the winter months. We live in a Sun City and are a bit odd as we eat late.

I think Freedom was also 5:30pm and 8pm.FR was 5:30 and 8:00 PM as was OA when she first moved to Port C. I think you can actually go to My Time as early as 5 PM or earlier. We are pretty familiar with Port C Demographics as we tend to be creatures of habit and convenience and Port C is 4 1/2 hours from our house. We sailed 17 times on FR 4 or 5 on Mariner and so far, 3 on OA.

They squeeze them into traditional and My Time. As for shows, they had a lot of entertainment after Late Seating. This must be why we are stuck with late dinning. We booked over a year out and are waitlisted for early dinner.

cruisegirl1 Posted January 2, 2018 #24 Share Posted January 2, 2018 On Oasis now. Late seating was 7:45 the first night. 7:30 second night and I am told 7:30 for the remainder of the cruise. M

Sent from my HTC One_M8 using Forums mobile app Hope we can try lunch and breakfast in CK. CK is so much better than the MDR. My husband liked the food a lot as did our friends. It was also quieter with a great ambiance with the floor to ceiling windows.
