lesleyfb Posted June 9, 2004 #26 Share Posted June 9, 2004 I know I know I know. I see the funny side too but I posted this afternoon and 2 people on this board were downright rude. So much so that their posts have disappears - I can only assume the Host wiped them off. Thankfully. Yes we can be funny, yes we can share information, yes we can disagree with one another and yes, we can be civil.

newtocc Posted June 9, 2004 #30 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Welcome to the Celebrity board Lougee! I find this extremely disconcerting. My fellow Cruise Critic friends are trying to instill apprehension upon a poster whom I’ve never gotten the pleasure to address. Lougee, in the future, if you have any questions all, please, do not hesitate to ask me, there is a very good possibility the answer may lie in one of the few brain cells I haven burnt out yet! BTW, you wanna buy a hat! Danno Posted June 9, 2004 #33 Share Posted June 9, 2004 Lou...two of the best tablemtes we ever had were a fire fighter and his wife from Portland. I don't recall his name, just wondered if you know him . I have sailed Galaxy a few times and I don't think she'll disappoint you. You will however find a completely different approach to customer service than on HAL. The HAL staff seem to be the "warm and fuzzy" type where as the Celebrity staff tend to be the "quiet, professional" type. Just don't confuse the professionalism for aloofness...X staff tend to leave the entertaining to the entertainers. The other staff tend to do their jobs quietly, without much fanfare. Altough I know one whose wife used to teach aerobics on cruise ships, but they don't cruise. What a coincidence - huh? alcpa1 Posted June 10, 2004 #39 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Welcome aboard, Lougee It's a shame you have to wait so long to experience the X. mjarens Posted June 10, 2004 #40 Share Posted June 10, 2004 Welcome lougee1043, We also arrived at Celebrity from HAL cruising, although we have cruised several other lines over the past 20 years. HAL had been our favorite until we cruised Celebrity Infinity in 2003. This board is always fun, full of friendly, witty cruise addicts - as we all should be. You will love it here. mjarens Next Up Mercury 11 Days, Feb 7, 2005.

Spender Nui Posted June 10, 2004 #45 Share Posted June 10, 2004 lougee1043, good to see you here. I do both boards and sail both lines. More information with less "ME" involved here than the HAL board. I have to agree with your comments regarding bragging and upsmanship. I think you'll like it here. MISSYLOU Posted June 11, 2004 #46 Share Posted June 11, 2004 Hi Lougee and welcome to the Celebrity board. I too came here from the HAL boards and I do remember your posts as well as RevNeal, Doone and Sail7Seas. Glad to see you are trying Celebrity. We have not sailed on HAL for 2 years since we have fallen in love with Celebrity. We would sail HAL again someday. This is a nice board. Good folks here. We will be on Galaxy in Oct 04. Our first time on this ship so I will let you know how we like it. MISSYLOU Posted June 11, 2004 #47 Share Posted June 11, 2004 By the way Lougee how did you like the Oosterdam? I would really like to try one of the new Vista class ships. Did you like it? I read many negatives about the Zuiderdam when it first came out. I would still like to try either of these ships.
