CHEZMARYLOU Posted January 5, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 5, 2018 Welcome to Cruise Critics. The boarding times should be listed in your E-Docs, They will tell you what time you can begin boarding and the final all aboard time. What time do you sail? Host Walt Posted January 6, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 6, 2018 8:30 p.m. Normally boarding can start around 12:00Noon but that can vary depending of when the ship is docked and release by US Customs. Then there's the turn-around process when the staterooms are refreshed and made ready for the new passengers.
Cruisingwithoutthekids Posted January 6, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 6, 2018 8:30 pm is probably when Summit departs San Juan. We were in line around 11:00 am this fall and boarded by 12:00. It was great way to spend the first day of our cruise. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
leaveitallbehind Posted January 6, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 6, 2018 As mentioned above, boarding typically begins around 11:00. Once on board, your stateroom will be ready by about 1:00. Have lunch on board and then leave your carry on items in your stateroom and head into Old San Juan if you like for the afternoon. Cabs are available at the pier and in town. Check on when the lifeboat drill is and as long as you are back on board for that and 90 minutes prior to departure, the day is yours to do as you wish. waiting to cruise again Posted January 6, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 6, 2018 we are going on Jan . 20 and need to know the boarding times. thanks, Kevin San Sebastián street festival For Cruise Ship People — It will take an extra long time to travel between your ship and the airport, or from the festivities in Old San Juan to the Pam Am Pier. Plan accordingly so you don’t miss your ship. The usual 15-minute drive can take hours. Also sailing on Jan.20 and found this info that might be of interest . I assume time to ship will be longer also.
