Tamsterina1976 Posted January 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Hello, So we are cruising with another part of our family and would like the balconies to be opened between 7362 and 7364. The first RCI rep told us there those two rooms didn't have connecting balconies and the second rep told us that no balconies could be opened, except for cleaning/maintenance purposes. Any RCI experts that can help me fairly quickly. Not sure what to do as this is a really big deal for us. Thanks so much in advance.
Clarea Posted January 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Most balcony dividers can be opened on Liberty, subject to the approval of ship's management. However, there are some that may not be able to be opened because of a fire zone boundary. There's no way to know the location of those boundaries in advance
Clarea Posted January 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I just noticed that those two staterooms have a connecting door, so they are most likely in the same fire zone.
cb at sea Posted January 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I don't see the connecting sign on the deck plans, but they are in the same area of the ship. The door on the balcony partition should open....it's just a "pathway", tho..not a total removal of the partition. If you go to Cruisedeckplans, there is actually a video of 7364
Clarea Posted January 8, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 8, 2018 I don't see the connecting sign on the deck plans ... Thanks for catching that, I must have transposed the numbers.
matj2000 Posted January 8, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 8, 2018 We almost always have rooms next door. Not once have they said they cannot open the partition. The last person you would want to talk to about this is anyone on the RC customer service staff. Most of those people have never even been on a cruise before... Tamsterina1976 Posted January 8, 2018 Author #7 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Thanks everyone! I saw the YouTube video of the room and it most definitely looks like the partition can be slid to allow a balcony opening. Appreciate your help. dssking Posted January 8, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 8, 2018 Just bring a small adjustable wrench. I believe they're 7/16. ....and only a few. (No, I haven't done anything like that before......)
OKCcruiser8 Posted January 8, 2018 #9 Share Posted January 8, 2018 All you need to do is ask your room attendant when they introduce themselves once your cabin is open. They will open it for you. That is what we did & it was open for us before sail away.
