Dive-In "The Freestyle" - Veggie Burger?

A 2014 blog entry indicates that "The Freestyle" at the Dive-In is a vegetarian burger with a grilled portabella mushroom top. A 2017 blog entry shows a photo of it, and I don't see a vegetarian patty - just the mushroom cap.

 

Can anyone comment about "The Freestyle"? Does it include a patty of some sort? Beyond that: How does it taste?

My mother had it in October on the Koningsdam. It was a portabella mushroom and she said it was delicious.

It is good, much better than some "veggie burgers" I've had elsewhere.

No patty, just the mushroom cap (I’ve gottwn it a few times - sometimes there is one cap, sometimes two). The way it is on menu is delicious, but I have also swapped out a burger with a mushroom (I’m veg) and they have all been great! My fave is the one with the onion straws :)

I love the burgers at the Dive In. I could eat there for every meal.

 

You've convinced me to try the portabello one! Deeniencinitas I'll take that tip about extra avocado, too :)
