skfmsw Posted January 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 9, 2018 I’m in cabin 2120. Does anyone know if there’s room for a scooter? Is there a “lip” on the entry door that would make scooter use more difficult? And since there is only a tub/shower combination, which I definitely can’t use, how feasible is a plan to use the spa for my daily shower? There are no accessible rooms left for this cruise. (Long story, booked last year before walking problems) I appreciate any input, but please don’t remind me that I’m a moron for not having trip cancellation insurance. I know. Thanks! Rare Essiesmom Posted January 9, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 9, 2018 No lip on the door into the cabin, but there is about a 4" step up into the bathroom, which will not be accessible for a w/c or scooter. Not sure how wide the doorway into the cabin is. The cabin itself is spacious, but there is a lip out onto the balcony, and with the table on it I doubt you could get onto it with a scooter. there is a video on cruisedeckplans.com of cabin 2121, port side, but as it is not a handicap cabin the pics will not be accessible to non-members. Do you mean there are no accessible cabins at all available, or none in a category you would accept? EM

Susan Here's the video of Equinox #2121 Entrance door has a zero threshold. However the bathroom does not. It has a 4-6" step to enter/exit. Have you contacted Celebrity's Access department to request a tub transfer bench ?
skfmsw Posted January 10, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted January 10, 2018 My TA spoke to Access today, and they told him that there is a separate stall shower and tub. I can definitely walk into a regular stall shower, and step up or down a few inches. What I can not do is get my leg over a tub. So this room works for me as long as there really is a separate shower. But the room diagram only shows a tub. Do we think the diagram is wrong, or Access??? Rare Essiesmom Posted January 10, 2018 #5 Share Posted January 10, 2018 Cabin class description is tub/shower combo, as is the Celebrity Suite also. Royal suite has separate shower stall. EM

EM That’s what I thought. Why would access say otherwise? Now I don’t know what to do again.

They “found” an accessible cabin for me. Thanks for your help.
