I have not sailed Royal before and I am looking at booking a cruise on Anthem. I was wondering what the details (how many drinks..etc) and prices are concerning the drink packages. Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Ok so I have seen alot about the gratuity. So, when you book the package there is a "service" charge. Is this not the gratuity? and if not when ordering a drink, if the list price is $13, do you have to pay out of pocket to cover the the gratuity? Sorry, if this seems obvious LOL, I just booked the drink package on my 7 day cruise and would like to know kinda what to expect.

You pay for the gratuity (or service charge, same thing) at the time you purchase the package. You don't pay any gratuitiy when you order a drink, unless the value of that drink exceeeds the package limit, in which case you pay the difference plus 18% of the difference for gratuity.

No limit on drinks per day. Value limit of around $13 per drink. Cost varies day to day because of promos, I've seen it range from $38/day to $60/day, plus 18%.

I just paid 42$ a day plus gratuitiy for my Anthem cruise in April.

I am glad to see Anthem prices come down. They had not, in the past.

Sailing on HOTS at the moment towards Cozumel and our all inclusive drinks package is good for any drink up to $13

For anyone who may be interested the drinks cards were offered on day four.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Can you tell me more about drinks cards? Do you know if they are available on all Royal Caribbean ships? Thanks.

One more question-are buckets of beer available on Anthem daily or periodically or at all? If so, about how much? I’m going on June and I will have the drink package but am asking because I’d maybe like to get a bucket to bring multiple drinks back to the room to enjoy on the balcony.

Drinks paakage was no problem to use on Labadee two days ago.

There is an exception to this. The rum drink served in a pineapple at the first stand you see walking into Labadee is not included. No sign stating that the drink package excluded this. Only found out after drink was served and a signature was required to charge our onboard account.

On Navigator New Year's cruise I got drinks and Voom for $54. Just drinks was $46. If you bought the combo (which I did) gratuity was only calculated on $46. Came to $309.77 PP for 5 days.

They also offered a 10 drink card in the Compass for $88.50.

What is Voom? I've never heard of that before.
