Rare cruisemom42 Posted January 15, 2018 #26 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Getting back to the original topic, I don't recall having a problem finding public toilets in any of the Baltics ports we visited and toured on our own, including Copenhagen, Helsinki, and Talinn. In fact, we found public facilities to be very clean and well maintained. In Stockholm we just utilized facilities at the Vasa museum and at the place where we ate lunch. In St. Petersburg, I have no idea -- we had a private tour and our guide made sure we had opportunities -- in the Hermitage, at Peterhof, etc. Yes, small coins in local currency are needed for public restrooms. You can easily obtain some by purchasing a coffee, some water or a snack with a bill.
Extra Kim Posted January 15, 2018 #27 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Yeah, that is a great deal for the shop. As I type this, €20 = $24.53 = £17.79 Or $30 = €24.45, £20 = €22.49 Well yes and no.. The shop still need to do an exchange with a bad exchange rate at Forex or similar companys (Swedish banks are more or less cash free) and they need to spend time doing it.
