Can I make a 12:30 Flight out of Miami the day we depart Freedom?

I know we can off the boat early but does anyone have experience getting from the boat and making a 12:30 Miami flight?

From POM? Easy - it is a 15 minute cab/Uber ride from POM to MIA.

 

From PE? Should be okay, but I would consider carrying my bags off to be sure. PE to MIA is a 45-60+ minute cab/Uber ride

 

For a 12:30 flight you need to be at MIA by about 11:00 - and 10:30 is probably better as TSA lines there can be chaos. :eek:

Absolutely! Carry your bags off yourself and head straight to the airport. It's a zoo at MIA, but you'll have more than enough time.

Freedom is in Ft Lauderdale for our cruise. Does that make a difference?

Port Everglades = PE It is a 45-60+ minute drive from PE to MIA; weekday or weekend? You'll have more traffic on a weekday. As long as you are off the ship, with bags, and clear of customs/immigration by about 9-9:30 you should be great!

Yes you should have no issues making a flight out of FLL. We did it last year when we sailed the Vista. Self embarked and had a private transport waiting for us. We used Fortlauderdaleshuttlevans.com. Called them when we awoke the day of embarkation just to advise them when we would be outside. They were waiting for us. Private van for 5.
