Can you access the fittness center for free? Are showers available for fittness center users?

All the machines are free. There are some classes like pilates and a couple of others that cost $12 each.

No problems using the showers.

HAL fitness centers usually have music, from my experience. I found it to be lousy music. Just an FYI - It might not be important to you.

there is also a sauna that is free, usually opposite the changing rooms . sexes separated. cheers.

Lockers are also free - adjacent to the showers, unless there is a high demand for treatments. Trade your cabin key for a locker key at the spa main desk. BTW, I like the music. One day I was the only guest in the gym, and the music was off. Boring! Enjoy your cruise :D

In my experience the lockers are not free. they are reserved for spa customers and those who purchased the spa package.

Off the Oosterdam a week ago. Lockers were available each day - I did not purchase a spa package or services. As I mentioned, the number of people purchasing spa services will determine availability for regular guests. Guess I lucked out! Port days are the least busy.

Hmm. Interesting observation. I will try that....although I've tended to buy the spa package so it's hard to tell. In my experience they would look at the back of my room card for the spa proof of purchase sticker before issuing a locker key. Thanks.
