Two water questions

In the past I was able to purchase a number of individual bottles of water to be delivered to our cabin. Much easier than bringing on my own case. While I realize the water on the ship is fine, this is easier for use in the gym every day. I am not interested in a water package at $16 a day. Am I missing it on the new website or is it no longer available? Also, is there a place on the website to order distilled water for the cabin for a CPAP machine? Can't find that either with the new website. Thanks for all help.

Yes, I'm talking Celebrity. On past Celebrity cruises, I was able to purchase a package of something like 6 large bottles. On a Princess cruise a week ago I was able to purchase a case of 12 smaller bottles which is better of course. If Celebrity no longer offers it I will drag a case on with me but pre-purchase is much easier.

Which cruise line?

As far as the cpap, the cruise lines will provide distilled water for you, and an extension cord, if needed.

Correct and would suggest you contact special services who will provide water and extension. From experience, it is likely you will need a cord and if you bring your own it will be confiscated.

I would like to know this as well. I will gladly pay more to have water delivered to my room (not the per bottle price of course) if I don’t have to schlep a case aboard. I know other lines sell 12 packs, but does X? We’ve always had a “free” bev pkg, but our next cruise is a repo, so they’re not offered “free” and we’d never drink enough to justify paying for one.

You need to contact with special services for the passenger. There is a recent post about the Celebrity page being published: it is no longer allowed to bring non-alcoholic drinks on board

From ports of call.

What Not To Pack

Weapons, illegal drugs, and other items that could interfere with the safe operation of the ship or the safe and secure environment of our guests and crew are prohibited. The United States Transportation Security Administration also recommends that you do not pack fragile or expensive items (such as jewelry) in checked luggage.

The following are examples of items that guests are not allowed to bring onboard. These and other similar items will be confiscated upon being found. Alcoholic beverages, illegal drugs, flammable liquids, explosives, and dangerous chemicals will not be returned.

  • Firearms & Ammunition, including realistic replicas.
  • *Sharp Objects, including knives and scissors.
  • Illegal Drugs & Substances
  • Aerial Drones
  • Candles & Incense
  • **Coffee Makers, Clothes Irons, & Hot Plates
  • Baseball Bats, Hockey Sticks, Cricket Bats, Bows & Arrows
  • Skateboards & Surfboards
  • Martial Arts Gear
  • Self-Defense Gear, including handcuffs, pepper spray, night sticks.
  • Flammable Liquids and Explosives, including lighter fluid and fireworks.
  • HAM Radios
  • Hookahs & Water Hookah Pipes.
  • Electrical Extension Cords
  • Dangerous Chemicals, including bleach and paint.
  • ***Alcoholic and Non-Alcoholic Beverages
  • Potentially hazardous food and/or food that requires refrigeration.

Note:

*Personal grooming items such as safety razors are allowed. Scissors with blade length less than 4 inches are allowed.

**Items that generate heat or produce an open flame. This includes heating pads, clothing irons, hotplates, candles, incense and any other item that may create a fire hazard. NOTE: The only exception to this policy are curling irons and hair straighteners. Matches and normal lighteners are allowed onboard. However "torch lighters" and novelty lighters that look like guns are not allowed onboard. Torch lighters emit a powerful concentrated flame, and therefore are prohibited.

** *Alcoholic beverages that are purchased in ports-of-call or from shops onboard will be stored by the ship and delivered to you on the last day of the sailing. Alcoholic beverages seized on embarkation day will not be returned.

Email special_needs@celebrity.com, provide your name and booking number, ship, embarkation date and tell them what you need. All you need to say is you are bringing a CPAP and need distilled water and an extension cord.

My success rate is about 1 in 4 but the stateroom attendant can provide them pretty quickly.

In reality that actually means from ports of call not on embarkation. People are still doing it and reporting no change in policy.
