martyap Posted January 15, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 15, 2018 Have not been on Med cruise in a bunch of years. I know we can each bring a bottle when we board. Are they charging corkage fees? Do they ever allow bringing a bottle on after a port visit?

You can bring on bottles of wine at ports, but if they see them, they will hold them until the end fo the cruise.

Dinglebert Posted January 16, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 16, 2018 You can bring two bottles per cabin onboard at the start of the cruise. In theory they can charge $15 corkage although the didn't with us. Equally you can take a glass of wine along to the dining room having uncorked it in your room. Sent from my iPad using Forums Yes, they DO scan your bags. They are scanned by the ship as you board. Then they have a table where you take your alcohol purchase and turn it in. It's delivered to your cabin on the last night.

KiwiGal117 Posted January 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2018 We purchased wine in port on our Med cruise. There was a desk right behind security to hand it over - they returned it to us on the final night. This was fine - we wanted to bring it home. But just so you are aware they did enforce the rules.
