Reenie75 Posted January 17, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Hi, just looking at a last minute cruise on the Magic, Eastern Carribean. Can you gives me your pros and cons for Deck 1 or 2 inside stateroom. Thanks
klfrodo Posted January 17, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 17, 2018 Lots of Pro’s Low in the ship means less motion. Lower deck means closer to the gangway at ports. Inside cabin means it’s DARK when sleep time comes along. Lower deck means great exercise when taking stairs up to Lido deck Look for the positive in everything

Honestly I thought lower you'd feel more motion! 🤣 I don' know why! Walking those stairs will help when I've eaten too much!!! Would you recommend aft or front?? alias47 Posted January 17, 2018 #4 Share Posted January 17, 2018 I think the main con is hiking up to the lido deck. If facing the waterline (e.g porthole cabins) seem to feel the motion of the ship a good bit on those decks. If you are in a true interior, should be fine in that respect. Pros is that it was quiet in 1 forward (where I stayed), nobody went there unless your cabin was there, nobody walking through the halls that often. Looking at aft or front inside cabin They might have middle unsure. I love a good rest at night, ready for the next day! 😊
Sixtytwo Posted January 17, 2018 #6 Share Posted January 17, 2018 If you are closer to midships you will get less noise from the azipods when porting in he early morning. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Bobbysjack Posted January 17, 2018 #7 Share Posted January 17, 2018 We stayed on deck 1 on the Magic last year. It was fine. The elevators were always handy and we quickly got to wherever we needed to go. Sent from my iPad using Forums
Drazil65 Posted January 17, 2018 #8 Share Posted January 17, 2018 You will hear more mechanical noise like when you arrive and leave port as well as the waves hitting if in forward cabin. Some people love the lower decks so if you have never tried it then maybe its time! Have fun!
