You should definitely use caution when drinking and eating in Mexico. Bottled beer/water/soda is fine, but do not drink anything not canned or bottled or has ice. The same applies to food that you cannot peel yourself. The biggest issues seem to be with street vendors and such. Places like Senor Frogs, you should be fine. These establishments use purified water in the drinks. We've never had a problem. Just use common sense.

HAL shore excursions only use approved vendors for refreshments, so not to worry if you are on a ship sponsored tour. Otherwise, see above... only bottled or canned drinks, no ice; peel your own fruit; no street vendors. Stay healthy! m--
