Aft balcony on the Bliss

I’ve always wanted to try an aft balcony, I’ve watched videos and dreamed of booking it. Here’s my dilemma, my husband has never been sea sick on any of our cruises, but was sea sick when we went deep sea fishing in roatan and when we went on the semi sub in Cozumel. Wondering how much more motion there is compared to a mid ship? Looking at the sailing that goes to Nassau, Tortola, and st Thomas in January.

Also I was thinking of deck 9 if that makes a difference.

Your thread title threw me for a moment.

The BLISS is still being built and has yet to sail.

That noted - a comparison with the -AWAY class ships may provide the answer.

I would imagine that a big ole ship of that class would not have much of impact

on someone's sea sickness unless riding out a recent Bombnado - Nor'eastern

surfing the surf into NYC.

The only thing about being in the aft end of the ship would be vibration from the

propulsion of the ship and thruster application in and near the port piers.

The higher up from the waterline the less noise vibration disturbance - but for

some that white noise from the ocean can be peaceful bliss and maybe that

is the bliss you were looking for !

Love the Aft Cabins on all the NCL Ships that I have been cruising (Breakaway, GEM, STAR, JEWEL).:)

Certainly less motion (if any) than the front of the ship.

Hardly any motion and the sound of the props at night sounds like a waterfall if you keep the sliding door open...puts you right to sleep!:D

Ended up booking mid ship balcony☹️ Didn’t want to take the chance of my husband being sick the whole cruise. Thanks everyone for the responses. I’m sure we will have a blast!

Next time you cruise, try an aft cabin....we did and we will never go back. They are a bit more expensive, but IMHO worth the price.

That goes double for the Breakaway...the ship's side balconies are really small.

That being said, I know you will enjoy your cruise no matter what ship or cabin you have.

The more you cruise, and ask questions on these boards, you will be able to pick the perfect ship and cabin that enhances your cruising experience.;)

I was so tempted, it was only another $250! But at least we have a new countdown with Ncl, really looking forward to checking out this new ship!

You know could change your cabin selection usually with a small penalty if any depending on your Travel Agent..

You might want to investigate this option.
