Let's see if we can keep the pictures straight this time shall we....

Thursday Jan 25th DAY 6 - Cozumel - TAKE 2

The day started off hazy and overcast but when the sun did pop out it was hot. I had fallen asleep with DD so early the night before that I didn't get a chance to fill out our room service breakfast card. Hubby woke with a lot of pressure and pain in his ear so DD and I went to the buffet for breakfast. After having my usual egg benny we went to the make a t-shirt for the glow party (little did I realize we were getting set up for a disappoint when they cancelled the family portion of the glow party).

Afterwards DD went to the splash academy while hubby and I jumped ship for an hour and went to get some meds from Cozumel for hubby…and maybe suck up a little free wifi too.

Back on board we grabbed DD and headed to O'sheehans for lunch. I had fish and chips, hubby the corn beef sandwich and DD had a pb&j sandwich. Apparently o'sheenans doesn't do the kids meals but would make an exception this time. To this point, we’ve done well with DD’s meals. Most times, we order off the main menu for her and no one has bat an eye at this. I’m glad as there’s not much for healthy options on the kids menu.

After I dropped DD off at splash again I wondered the boat a little and found the library. Wish I had know you can borrow books from their library...wouldn't have brought 2 of my own. Since I did have my book (Wonder), I grabbed it and headed to Spice for a drink - Pina colada (still haven’t find a bar tender who can make a Caribbean colada) and sat down to read. Was getting a light misting every few mins then it really started to come down so I gave up and headed back to the cabin.

For dinner, DD had the buffet and hubby and I went to Manhattan again but not without a stop by sugarcane first. My favorite drink for the trip was the pineapple coconut mojito and my favorite bartenders Christian and Johnathan.

...continue from Cozumel.

Other than our seat location (next to the waiters station in the corner, but I guess someone has to sit there) we had another fantastic meal. I couldn’t resist and had 2 apps tonight – coconut shrimp and a puff pastry with brie cheese. I mean anytime you put cheese and pastry together, it has to be good. Hubby ordered the meatballs for an app and said it was ‘ok’. He had beef strips and I had something seafood (obviously not memorable like the appitizers as I can’t remember exactly what it was and had to look at the pictures)

Off to get DD and get ready for the family glow party. Handmade t-shirts, lots of glow sticks from home and an excited family.... only to find out they cancelled the party due to inclement weather. Guess the weather improved because the main glow party was still a go. As a consolation, we let DD go back down to the splash academy glow party for another hour while we roamed the ship, but not without a stop by The District to hear Beau playing first.

It was my evening out so hubby went to get DD and I was off to see my first theatre of the week. I didn’t have reservations to see the The Brat Pack but took my chances and tried to get in via standby. Not an issue at all. Walked up, they swiped my card and said go ahead. Lively, good tunes and a not so enthusiastic crowd. I clapped, sang along and enjoyed every minute. After the theatre I went up to see if the Glow Party was on. It was but very windy and I was starting to feel just how much the ship was rocking. I wasn’t feeling it so I made my way back to the cabin. I really shouldn’t have investigated it further (like go out on my balcony) as it only put me more on edge. I took a couple of gravol (side note, I’m a lightweight and only ever take children’s gravol), but it wasn’t helping. I laid awake until after 3am- some due to uneasiness and some due to nausea.

Any chance of getting the drink list from yourself or Amallison? I am on the Escape in April for the 3rd time, and would love to try and conquer the list... thanks, John
