ldubs Posted February 2, 2018 #26 Share Posted February 2, 2018 British people call candy ‘sweets’ ;) I know they sold some candy in the duty free store on Navigator but it was mostly giant Toblerone type stuff. I don’t remember seeing much of anything else unfortunately. Milk Duds are gross anyway! I think I can honestly say the last time I had Milk Duds was over 50 years ago. I'm shocked they are still around. LOL.
mollyeilis Posted February 2, 2018 #27 Share Posted February 2, 2018 We live in the U.K. so don't get any of that here :) Lucky. Our stuff is just horrid. If you have any sense you won’t let your child anywhere near any American candy! Pure sugar and incredibly unhealthy. Plus, it’s all fairly vile stuff anywaySorry, no offence meant. I’m also British, but as we have family in the US who are one the largest candy/sweet manufacturers I do know what I’m talking about. I’m American and I agree. Junk. Utter atrocious junk
Rare little britain Posted February 2, 2018 #28 Share Posted February 2, 2018 American Oreos are far better than the Oreos we get in England. Fact!
Ambermark Posted February 2, 2018 Author #29 Share Posted February 2, 2018 I'm sure a little treat will be ok but I know what you mean. We bought her a little tub of fruit loops from Amazon to go into her Christmas stocking and were amazed it actually had a warning on it saying consumption could affect children's concentration :/
