Ken Posted February 2, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 2, 2018 We are planning to arrive at Terminal 1 for our Oasis cruise around 1pm as we have some stuff we are carrying on and would like to take it directly to our cabin. Does anyone know the likely handicapped parking situation at that time? Is there a recommendation for a "not later than" arrival time? Thanks. By 1:00 PM it's likley that there won't be any HC Parking Spaces available. Reason being there are so few HC spaces vs standard parking spaces , there are generally multiple cruise ships boarding at the same as well as many people arrive early at port just after the previous cruises have disembarked so they can snatch an HC parking space early and board early to begin their vacation. If not delays boarding typically begins around 11:30 AM. Personally I'd plan to arrive at the port no later than 10:30 AM to get in line for the parking lot. Rare Essiesmom Posted February 2, 2018 #4 Share Posted February 2, 2018 Cruise terminal ! has only one ship at a time and does not share parking with any other line/ship. https://www.portcanaveral.com/PortCanaveral/media/Cruise-Assets/2016%20Images/10188-CAFR-Dev-Map-with-fonts.pdf Disney has it's own parking, terminal 10 also, terminals 6&7 share a garage. EM My mistake. However it still doesn't change the fact that if the OP arrives at 1:00 PM as planned there most likely will be no HC parking spaces available. Ken Posted February 3, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted February 3, 2018 Final question: If our son gets out of the van when we unload our luggage, we do not necessarily need a handicapped spot. Are the ceilings on all floors of the garage high enough to accommodate our high-top van (8.5 - 9 feet)?

Ken Posted February 3, 2018 Author #8 Share Posted February 3, 2018 With a quadriplegic son, uncertainty is my enemy. We will change our plans to arrive earlier. Thanks all.
moki'smommy Posted February 14, 2018 #9 Share Posted February 14, 2018 If your van has been modified (ramp, hand controls, or whatever)you park free at the cruise terminals. A license plate or hang tag alone is not sufficient; it must be a modified vehicle.
