Simply rinsing the cup is generally fine, and you could also use a drop of shampoo or liquid body wash.

You mean a plain plastic cup that doesn’t operate the freestyle machines? Our grandchildren do not drink soda. I bring empty sports bottles that can be filled with water or lemonade to carry around the ship or for excursions.

I mean can only one person buy the special Freestyle machine cup for the cruise. I was told by someone on the CC board that everyone has to buy the drinks package in your cabin. Ideally, I would just like to have one cup for myself for the cruise. My wife loves iced tea and lemonade and kids all prefer water. I'm the only one that really craves soda.

Yes - it's only the alcohol package that requires all adults in the cabin to purchase.
