Might sound like a silly Question about Glacier Point Wilderness Safari

You take off your shoes and leave them on benches where you put on the boots.

They are just a rubber boot. You should be sure to bring / put on an extra pair of socks.

Not only for warmth but to help with padding in the boots.

I did the excursion a couple of years ago and didn't bring an extra pair of socks.

By the end of the excursion I could barely walk and (about 6 months later) lost a toenail.

Sure wish I would have paid more attention to folks on this board.

The hike to the glacier is over the moraine and thus a very rocky uneven surface.

It was a wonderful excursion and I would do it again - in a heart beat... with extra socks.

Enjoy!

Go4ak has it right. Bring an extra pair of socks and you'll be good to go. I did this excursion a couple of years ago and it was great! You'll love it and the kids that live out there and take you to the glacier are so helpful and informative!

Happy cruising!(y)

Yep! We walked, and some slipped, on the glacier! And like others said, you don't need anything extra really. Just dress warm in general.

They look like this...

And this was the area we climbed on a bit. Not very far, or high, it was slick! And like someone else said, it depends on the condition of the glacier when you go.
