RCCLNYMETS41 Posted February 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2018 On the Harmony, do they still offer Blackjack tables that pay 3-2 (possibly higher table minimum) in addition to the newer 6-5 rip off tables? Also, does the Harmony have a non-smoking side separated by a poker room with a smoking side on the other side? (this is how it was on Allure several years ago) Thank you in advance for any help. RFerrington Posted February 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted February 7, 2018 To my knowledge, all BJ pays 6-5. Yes, there is a smoking and non-smoking side, divided by the bar area. A non-smoking side of the casino works just as well as the non-peeing section of the pool.

Nearly all of the shoe games (multiple decks used) are 3:2, with few exceptions here and there. It's always indicated on the table if it's 6:5. This makes single deck a sucker's game. Other rules on shoe games: Resplit Aces twice, Resplit all others up to 4x, double after split is allowed. Dealers always hit S17.
RCCLNYMETS41 Posted February 9, 2018 Author #6 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Seems like the casinos can be different from ship to ship. Last November on Freedom, all BJ tables below $25 minimum were 6-5. I needed to sit at a $25 table to get 3-2 on a BJ
taliho621 Posted February 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted February 9, 2018 TrojanUSC, yes I agree that it is not right that lower minimum blackjack pays only 6:5, in that it is a crime against nature. However, and unfortunately, it is correct that the lower minimum tables do in fact pay 6:5 - at least they did when we were on Harmony last month. But I can confirm that it was 3:2 on the $25 tables. And don't even get me started on craps tables that only offer single odds (although that is not a new development in the cruise industry). And yes, I agree that I for one can tell no difference between the "smoking" side and the "non-smoking" side.
