Search for 'Ganges Voyager' on here and you'll find a bunch of somewhat mixed reviews for this ship as part of Uniworld cruises.

 

Also pay attention to which 'Ganges Voyager' you will be on, there appear to be 2 of them and while for example the 'toilet paper' issue is reported to be fixed on Ganges Voyager II, it may still be an issue on Ganges Voyager I ...

Reble54, this itinerary is almost exactly what we did on Uniworld one year ago. It was a great trip, and the Ganges Voyager II was a very pleasant ship to sail on. I did a detailed blog that has lots of food pictures as well as pictures of the ship. This looks like a very nice trip!

 

The ship pictures on the Avalon site look slightly different from the ship I remember, but the differences seem minor. The decor looks very much the same but the beds are four-post beds now. So it's possible that they just changed the bed design and it's still the GV II. The suites on GV II had the biggest bathroom I've ever had on a river boat.

 

I think that this is a great way to visit India. At least, it was for us.
