Rare Solent Richard Posted February 9, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 9, 2018 My wife and I recently completed our first cruise onboard a Carnival cruise ship: a 7 Day Caribbean cruise on Carnival Dream. The idea came to us two years ago while visiting a Caribbean Island with another cruise line and witnessing the fun that a group of passengers were having. Now we always have fun when we are cruising, even at our age, but in George Town, Cayman Islands, these folk were taking it to a new level. We had to try it. We actually tagged the Carnival cruise onto an American Queen Mississippi cruise with a 5 day mid cruises break in New Orleans. We opted for 'Your Time' dining and were very pleased with the overall dining experience... ...and especially the variety of food outlets... Entertainment was also very good and we enjoyed the variety at many of the diverse venues... Being Brits we also really appreciated the warmth, politeness and friendliness of the other passengers. Everything came together wonderfully to make this cruise a greta one. I have written a full review on my cruise blog with over 70 photographs that cover both the ship and the itinerary. Rare Solent Richard Posted February 9, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted February 9, 2018 Whie onboard Carnival Dream I was honoured and privileged to attend the 'Military and Veterans Appreciation Gathering'. As the only British Veteran there I was given a warm reception. We had a group photograph taken at the gathering... What further impressed me was that when i went to purchase the photograph from the Photo Gallery the guys wouldn't entertain taking any payment.
