Rare eroller Posted February 10, 2018 #1 Share Posted February 10, 2018 This is a long overdue photo album of the stunning HARMONY OF THE SEAS for a sailing I took back on September 30, 2017. It was a 7-day Western Caribbean cruise out of Fort Lauderdale. I had two friends sailing and booked an amazing deal very last minute, within a week of sailing. I had a cabin to myself. I booked the cheapest inside and Royal Caribbean was generous enough to upgrade me to a Central Park View cabin. The cruise was pretty much perfection. In fact I don’t have a single complaint. From check-in to disembarkation everything went as smooth as glass. There was a very nice passenger mix and I never felt crowded or waited in any lines the entire cruise. Part of that is because I plan it that way, but the bigger part was just how well designed and organized HARMONY is. Those that know me know I’m a fan of the Oasis Class ships, having sailed on OASIS and ALLURE in the past. I felt HARMONY took it up even a notch higher, with more sophisticated decor that really had an upscale feel to it, and cabins that have been completely redesigned and enlarged (longer). They are very similar to the Quantum Class in size and style. My cabin on HARMONY was one of the best non-suite cabins I’ve every had. Tons of space, tons of storage, great bathroom, great decor, great TV. Yes even pay per view gay porn! LOL I just loved the cabin as well as the location. It was super quiet too. I never heard anything. The only area where I felt HARMONY fell short of her older siblings is the adult Solarium. Gone is the round center pool and it’s missed, as well as the little water feature that surrounds the Solarium Cafe on the OASIS and ALLURE. Oddly instead of an all glass ceiling, some sort of clear plastic sheeting was used in parts of the Solarium ceiling and much of it is torn and flaps in the wind. This doesn’t make for a very soothing or quiet experience. Other that that, I loved everything about HARMONY. The roast beef sandwiches in the Park Cafe were as good as ever, and the steak I enjoyed in Chops was perfection. That was the only speciality restaurant I tried this cruise. Central Park was my favorite area of the ship, with the Trellis Bar being my favorite bar. I really looked forward to my Diamond member complimentary drinks there each evening. Weather was great, ports were fine, and entertainment excellent. Grease was superb, but I think I enjoyed Columbus, The Musical even more. Of course the ice skating show and Aqua Theater shows were spectacular and breathtaking. The solo guitarist that played nightly in Central Park was awesome, and even the pop-up piano player was fun and unique. You might even find him in the elevator! Attached is my photo log of the ship, 465 photos and 3 videos. I covered most areas of the ship and she was a true pleasure to explore. Also included are the daily Cruise Compasses and some menus. Each photo is labeled, just slide you curser over the picture for a description. I hope you enjoy!

missholly24 Posted February 11, 2018 #14 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Wow your pictures are amazing and the best delivery format I've ever seen. Rare eroller Posted February 11, 2018 Author #15 Share Posted February 11, 2018 Thanks everyone for the great comments. Much appreciated! I'm so glad people are enjoying the photo spread. I try to do something like this for every new ship that I've sailed, and I'm getting quite a collection. I'm think I'm up to about 140 albums and over 20,000 photos. Certainly not all my cruises but many. My full collection is at this link: https://www.flickr.com/photos/27450992@N06/sets/ You might find some other ships you're interested in. WanderingLique Posted February 12, 2018 #20 Share Posted February 12, 2018 Good gracious! I need a vacation just from looking at your photos! So much to see and do! It makes me very excited to be boarding Harmony in May '18! I noticed that there were some brown wicker-type seats in the Solarium...were those hard to come by? I would imagine that you'd have to get up pretty early to snag that kind of real estate? Thanks for posting such great photos :-)

For those chairs yes probably a bit early, or maybe later in the day after they have been vacated.

As for the balcony pic you were getting the mini golf and we were out on the balcony people watching. Good times for sure. Sounds like you were up in a Loft Suite. Awesome. I had one once on Oasis. They are incredible. I looked out over the mini-golf as well. I think I would have preferred being on the side with the direct ocean view, but not a big deal.
