Carnival website says that the best wifi package does not support FaceTime only Skype. That doesn't make sense to me. Has anyone experienced this?

Yes, Carnival is simply blocking some apps on their network. Certain wifi chat apps are blocked also.

I would be interested to hear if any people have had success in recent times with FaceTime? How about Facebook messenger calling?

My daughter just FaceTime us last night from the Breeze, but it was only audio, not live feed of the person calling. They bought the WiFi for only one day so her hubby could finish some assignments and submit a paper that was due. (He is completing his PhD) She wanted to check in on the kids while they had the package for the day, but it was odd just hearing her voice and not seeing her face.
