Is the Flip Flop Workshop new? I don't recall this from our Allure cruise, but it's been a few years. This would be a must have souvenir for my wife and daughters.

Ferrington - sorry, the $5 tables were on Liberty. I think you're right - Oasis keeps the tables higher. Although I seem to recall one $5 roulette table and one $5 3 card table.

I’ve been ditching the boot except for “travel” days, as was approved by my doc.... it doesn’t work well in sand....[emoji38] although that may be periscope worthy for our beach day tomorrow at Nachi....

It looks like you’re getting sunny weather can you tell me what the temperature has been like and did you get any rain or high winds. We are going April 8 hoping to have nice weather like you seem to be having enjoy the rest of your cruise

niksmom- Oh no! I feel your pain. Last cruise the 3 card table was either empty or completely full. So I played UTH - that's kind of replaced it in our house. More strategy - bigger bank. :eek: I think they play with the minimums based on players. Same cruise, it started as $10 and about 3 days in, changed to $5 because the tables were so empty.

 

Andrew, I'm ready to follow along!! Have you dried out from the 4 Headed monster cruise? ;)

MGM Grand runs the casino and sets the table minimums.

Quick question if you are using it - what features does the RoyalCarriabbean app offer on Allure? (on Anthem the app let you message between phones on the ship with just the wifi and view your personal schedule etc )

Do you know if the excursion cancellation affects all tours or just the public ferries? We have one booked in a couple of weeks to Tulum which I understand uses a private ferry ..

Nothing more than a glorified compass really.

 

Here are a few screen shots. You can access the planner by day, see restaurants and menus, as well as hours.

 

You choose the ship and sailing date.... ours was available a few weeks out....Where the Royal IQ App has all your personal reservations, times, and details associated with you actual reservations, this just shows certain events by day, but not even all. I found it helpful precruise to look at menus and times, but haven’t used it on the ship at all

 

 

Also, some of the times weren’t accurate either.....

 

 

 

 

I was happy to see that for my comfort and convenience, the rest rooms were open 24 hours a day 🤣

I know there were RCI tours affected because I heard people grumbling about it in the elevator...someone in particular had a dolphin swim/encounter cancelled I believe, because the transportation was by ferry.....

Thanks for all the info and pics!!! Really appreciate it. Going on the Allure on July 8th sailing. Loyal Carnival cruisers, but I felt it was a time for a change. Going to Alaska in June on Ruby Princess, and then to Allure. Went on Sovereign of the Seas in another lifetime, so I will consider this my 1st RCCL cruise.

 

I am staying at the FT Lauderdale Hilton Marina. What floor in the tower is the minimum to get on to be above the bridge to see the port? Is there anything to worry about, been seeing lots of not so good reviews of the hotel?

 

Someone posted that MGM runs the casino. Can you use your MLife card onboard?
