Sky Sail Away balconies

The Sail Away balconies on Sky - I see the fine print that your view may be partially or fully obstructed - how many rooms are really affected by obstructed views?

Also - are their lounge chairs on the balcony or just regular outdoor chairs?

Sailaways will get the "left over" rooms that no one selects. So, regardless of the number of obstructed view rooms, there is a higher probability (while small) that you will get one of the less desirable rooms.

I got a Sail Away rate on the SKY for January 2019, Room 9258 Balcony. From the deck plans, it does not seem like this is an obstructed view

A sailaway balcony means that you're agreeing to take the worst balcony cabin on the ship in whichever category you choose.

 

If you take the "X" category, then it means you're agreeing to take the worst balcony on the ship, period. Some people can handle taking that risk. Others can't.

Technically, you are agreeing to take the worst balcony, but I have booked many sailaway rates on multiple ships and have yet to be disappointed. If you are easy going and willing to accept some risk, sailaway rates are an amazing value.

I don't believe NCL Sky has any obstructed balconies. That fine print is there for other ships and basically a cya statement.

 

I loved Sky's balconies. They have open railings.
