What happened to Pack N Play Offers???

It has been almost a year since I received my last Pack N Play offer from the Players Club. I have received several Premier Cruise Offers but no Pack N Play. Has anyone received them recently or are they just a thing of the past?

I have been taking advantage of NCL's complimentary cabin offers in place of Carnival. I am very interested in your experiences. Thanks.

Pack N Go offers are not as good as Pack N Play offers. For Pack N Play from the Casino I generally pay $200 for the cabin and get a $100 OBC. But the big advantage for me is that I generally travel as a solo so the Pack N Play offers do not penalize me. My net cost is $100 for the entire cabin plus the appropriate tax and port fees.

I have also not received any in over a year. My mom and I both used to get them. Without the offers, I wont book anymore (we do have an Alaskan one coming up that I paid full price for)

I guess I was too spoiled by all the pack n plays, but paying full price just doesn't get me motivated to go. I did a casino free one on RCI in October, but definitely do prefer Carnival.

My last pack and play was 25pp interior room and 50.00 OBC for an interior. then the upgrade ferry called 2 days before and got a balcony at no charge, but like you mentioned that was last year.

I checked my reservation date for my last Pack and Play cruise and it was booked on March 7, 2017. So maybe a new batch is forthcoming shortly. Let’s keep our fingers crossed.

My PVP told me in February that Carnival has gotten away from free casino cruise offers. I got a bounce back offer on my January cruise, but it wasn't for a free cabin as it has been my past few cruises. So I didn't book it. I usually cruise around Feb-April timeframe but decided not to this year because I haven't received what I thought was a good deal. If you are getting free cabin offers from another cruise line that is likely your best bet for now. If I decide I'm ready to play, I'll take advantage of my free hotel/food land-based casino offers.

This past December I was on the Getaway in the Western Caribbean. This was an NCL Casinos at Sea complimentary cabin. I use to get upset that a "complimentary cabin" had a processing fee of $200 per person. However, they did give me a Drinks on Us card while in the Casino and one free pick from NCL's free at sea program. I have done one of these cruises with NCL for each of the past 5 years. The offer usually comes out in July-August and is usually good on selective ships and sailings through the following Spring. I really enjoy NCL's larger ships, the entertainment is great. They are, however, more aggressive in their nickel and dime tactics which can get annoying at times.

Bottom line is, I love to cruise, and the better the deals that I receive means that I can cruise more often. I hope Carnival returns to Pack N Play deals and NCL continues with their complimentary cabins. I have been doing 2 or 3 Casino cruises each year and hope they continue.

In my past experience with Carnival, their better offers tend to come during off-season starting around August through early December. Whether that will be the case this year, who knows? With an improving economy and strong bookings, free cabin offers seem less likely.

Actually, I have gone on a number of different Casinos at Sea cruises and NCL is the only one that charged a fee. Both Carnival and Princess only charged the port fees and taxes. We have another scheduled for NCL later this year and again were charged the $200. We will probably keep to the other cruise lines if the offers keep coming.

How do you find out about the NCL Casino at Sea offers? We recently sailed on NCL and spent a lot of time in the casino, so was just wondering if we would be eligible for one. We did a Pack n' Play cruise on Carnival last October. There was one for the Elation last month, but we couldn't take advantage of it.

One of the good things about NCL is that you can call their Casino agents and they will tell you what comps you are eligible for. In fact, if you have a specific sailing in mind they will tell you what they can do on that specific sailing, or offer you one that is currently comped. Give it a try.

I guess my play isn't valued as much on NCL as it is on Carnival. I gave them a call and they "offered" me a 20% discount on a future cruise. Looks like I'll be sticking to CCL and their casino offers :)

My mock bookings lately give me the feeling that Carnival is seeing an increase in cruiser traffic and has no problem filling their ships. When that slows down, you can expect such offers back.

I agree. With the much improved, Trump economy, more ships are sailing full and Carnival is capitalizing on this fact. They seem to be pushing the last minute discounts on selective cruises with short timing. My VIFP offers box has been empty this month. No PTF. No PTL. No Premier cruises. Not even a Previous customer discount. Guess they don’t need us anymore.

I have 2 premier offers right now. Have to book by April 5th. Sometime after that they'll send out new offers so keep looking.

I am currently showing 3 casino rates under my VIFP #, so it's just the luck of the draw. As a side note - my DH (who doesn't play slots at all) doesn't have any offerings under his VIFP #. Maybe they're concentrating on those that spend some times on the slots.
