We are trying to decide between belize/costa maya and montego bay/grand cayman. We decided that IF we do MB we will definitely be doing a carnival excursion to keep the locals at bay. What is a good carnival excursion for M-bay that you guys would recommend (and if you want to throw some input about belize/costa maya, I wouldnt be mad). Thanks!

Belize and Grand Cayman are both tender ports, so that's a wash determining which cruise to take. Are the ships the same or different? To answer your question, the Bamboo River rafting trip for 75 bucks is the highest rated Carnival excursion in Montego Bay, with 23/23 reviewers recommending it with 4.9/5.0. https://www.carnival.com/shore-excursions/montego-bay/bamboo-rafting-on-the-great-river-423121#reviews

In Belize, I would recommend cave tubing and in Costa Maya, Maya Chan Beach Club is an all inclusive for 57.00 pp and it includes all drinks, food, transportation costs and is really nice. We were there in January. Check out the ports of call section on cruise critic for more details and options.

It's been a few years since we sailed to Montego Bay, but we did an all inclusive resort excursion through Carnival. It was to Secrets St James/Wild Orchid. It was amazing. I would go there again in a heartbeat.

One word of caution on Costa Maya. Both times we were there got in very early and ship left at 2 pm. For us who do not tend to drink in the morning an AI was not worth it. Both places we like just going to a beach.

We did a zipline tour through Carnival at Montego Bay. LOVED it. Guides were safe and fun. Then our bus driver took us to Margaritaville for an hour afterwards (not part of tour, we gave him $5 extra pp) then back to ship. Perfect day.
