Treasure Posted March 8, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 8, 2018 Can anyone tell me if the bartenders on NCL make Bloody Caesar. We are going on a 18 day Panama Canal cruise on the Sun in April and was wondering if I would be able to get my favorite drink. It is a very popular drink with Canadians. It is very different from a Bloody Mary. Thanks Barb
snowcones Posted March 8, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 8, 2018 Yes we have had Caesar’s on the Sun, Jade and the Dawn. If you like them spicy just ask for it. They do not usually have rimmer. Sent from my iPhone using Forums
luvcruzing Posted March 8, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 8, 2018 No problem also getting one (or two) on the Sky or Escape.
LrgPizza Posted March 8, 2018 #4 Share Posted March 8, 2018 Yes, I've had one. Not all bars are going to have Clamato though. Ask around.
Treasure Posted March 9, 2018 Author #5 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Thanks everyone...We do have the UBP (first time we ever had this) which I plan to do some experimenting with different drinks, but great to know that I can have my Bloody Caesar's which is not usually made on the cruise ships as they don't stock up on Clamato. Yippee!!!!!
Kbkcruiser Posted March 9, 2018 #6 Share Posted March 9, 2018 Great Question! Sailing on Epic in November and staying in DOS. Would I beable to request the Clamato a head of time? Or just bring my own so I know I have it. Thanks Treasure for the propmpt! I would have totally missed that - I love me the bloody ceaser
hawkeyetlse Posted March 9, 2018 #7 Share Posted March 9, 2018 You cannot bring your own, but they've had it on every ship I've been on in recent years.
gmbhardy Posted March 9, 2018 #8 Share Posted March 9, 2018 I believe the proper name for the drink is a Caesar not a Bloody Caesar.
Treasure Posted March 9, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted March 9, 2018 I believe the proper name for the drink is a Caesar not a Bloody Caesar. Sorry but I don't think so...I was a bar maid for a few years and it is called a "Bloody Caesar" but it's really doesn't matter what you call it, as long as they can make it!! Happy sailing!! Or just bring my own so I know I have it. Thanks Treasure for the propmpt! I would have totally missed that - I love me the bloody ceaser You can't bring water, soda or clamato on board anymore. In the past I have purchased "Ceaser Pleaser" and brought it on board. It is in a package and all you have to do is mix it with water and "voila" tastes almost like the real thing! Just google ceaser pleaser and you will see what I mean. Happy sailing!!
Ms Orchid Posted March 11, 2018 #11 Share Posted March 11, 2018 We were on the Getaway last year and they didn't have Caesers. They just splashed a bloody Mary with Worcestershire sauce and Tabasco. Disappointing.

gmbhardy Posted March 11, 2018 #13 Share Posted March 11, 2018 It’s a Caesar not a Bloody Caesar. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesar_(cocktail)
nednrom Posted March 12, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 12, 2018 It’s a Caesar not a Bloody Caesar.https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Caesar_(cocktail) I guess it's called by both names ... The article you posted also refers to it as a Bloody Ceaser under the recipe. I ordered it as a Bloody Ceaser and the bartenders knew what it was. LrgPizza Posted March 12, 2018 #15 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Caesar and Bloody Caesar are used interchangeably. I dare gmbhardy to tour across Canada trying to fix it on every menu that has it wrong. And for what?

LrgPizza Posted March 12, 2018 #17 Share Posted March 12, 2018 So you do admit it’s wrong. Thanks for supporting my position. No, I said it's used interchangeably. I think you're a fool for trying to change all of Canada to your preferred way, but have at it. Or are you just trying to change this message board? Personally, I'd prefer if you say thank you instead of thanks, but I'm not going to be a jerk by trying to tell you how to say it when they can be used interchangeably. LabRat Posted March 12, 2018 #19 Share Posted March 12, 2018 Someone ordered a Bloody Caesar a few times at the bar in Vibe last week on the Escape. He seemed to enjoy it (though at his level of sobriety he would probably enjoy minced garlic in Budweiser).
Treasure Posted March 12, 2018 Author #20 Share Posted March 12, 2018 People please...I thought this board was to ask fellow cruisers questions.... I am sorry that I asked the question now... it is not worth arguing about..I am just pleased that they make it...Have a "Bloody Caesar" or "Caesar" whatever you prefer to call it and "Enjoy"

Garmstro1967 Posted March 13, 2018 #22 Share Posted March 13, 2018 We were on the Breakaway 02/02/18- 02/16/18. WHEN there is clam the bartenders are able to make you a Caesar... but they DO run out.
