Question about Players club offers

When you book a cruise using the casino rate that has perks such as money for free play, VIP boarding and things like free drinks while playing in the casino, how do you know for sure that you got it. It doesn't show anywhere in my booking. When I called my Princess PCP about it she said all I had to do was take the flier I received in the mail promoting it with me on the cruise and I will receive the benefits. She also said just go at my regular boarding time and show them the flier for boarding VIP. I thought VIP boarded early.

I've never used this kind of offer from Princess so I'm not sure and I know sometimes the PCP,s give wrong information. I don't want to get ready to board and be told I don't have these benefits because it's not on my boarding pass. I have not looked at my pass yet because I haven't booked my flights or completed check-in. Will it be on my boarding pass?

Shouldn't this information be somewhere in my account so I know I have it for sure.

I booked this cruise thru the PCP when she called me telling me about the great rate and that it was a casino rate. She didn't say anything about any perks and I hadn't received the e-mail or mail flier yet. I just got the flier yesterday. I called her today and she called the casino while I was on the phone and told me yes that this was the cruise offer that included the perks and I would receive them.

So is there anything other than my taking the flier with me to confirm I really do have the perks. On my confirmation booking it just says Special Mail Offer.

Thank you to anyone that can answer this.

I'm interested in the answer as well. I received the notice a couple of months ago but didn't do anything with it. I later booked a cruise and on my reservation it had (in very small letters) something like Casino Rate. I was talking to a Princess rep and asked about it and she said, it wasn't anything and not to worry. I changed my room location a couple of days later and I asked the person I was talking with this time and she said that it was a special rate and I was actually refunded almost $700 because it wasn't calculated when I made my initial reservation. As you can imagine I was thrilled but now does it mean I get any of the benefits that were mentioned in the OP's post?

If you have casino cash coming it will be in your Travel Summary. Near the bottom.

Thank you for your answer. I looked at my summery and did find under credits a line telling me the credit must be used on board only, then under total credits it did not have an amount just said 'credits are in' and that's all. No amount. Nowhere does it say anything about the other perks. should it say that somewhere? do you know if there will be anything showing the perks or do I just take the card I got in the mail. Whenever I talk to the PCP and she says she is sending anything over via E-mail all I ever get is the same booking confirmation. No notes or anything else. I noticed they don't give a number to call the Players Club just the regular number for Princess or to call your PCP.

When I booked with Carnival thru their casino deal I was sent an e-mail that confirmed the the amount of casino cash.

When you received the offer there should be a phone number printed on the offer. I am going on my third VIP cruise and called that number after booking through my TA just to ensure that their systems indicate that we are part of that promotion. I was told that it was all reflected in my records and we were all set. And as someone else mentioned, you'll see the amount of free play that was part of the offer under "Special Services" in the Travel Summary. For example, mine indicated "$125 CASINO FREEPLAY(REDEEM CASINO)" which was the exact amount that was in the offer. With that and the original offer in hand, you should have no worries.

I'll call that number instead of the pcp and see if I can find out. Maybe she didn't put in the right codes or booked me under something else. I just find it strange that it just says under pricing details 'Special Mail Offer' and does not define which one. This was booked in the time frame for it.

My email from Princess Players Club didn't indicate any casino credit but the rate was so good we had to book. Offer was $399 balcony, $199 inside for a 10 day cruise. This was for guarantee rates on a forward cabin. Other cruises were offered but this was the one we took. Wound up with a mid-ship Carib balcony that is currently selling for $2078pp.

Looked like a mistake when we went to book online. The page that shows the rates for different classes of cabins indicated over $1000pp for a balcony, but when I selected it the better rates showed up. Tried using an anonymous browser and good rates did not show up. So use the link in the email or enter the promo code to get the better rates. Ten day cruise for $1128 total with taxes and insurance for two people. And other folks on the roll call have reported even better rates.

When I booked this cruise I hadn't looked at any of the fliers or emails that I had gotten. I booked it when the PCP called me. The rates she gave me were the same as yours so I booked it. She did say it was a casino rate. I was in a rush that day and didn't have time to ask any details. I later got the Flier in the mail with the casino cash and VIP details. (I had not checked my mail for a week:rolleyes:)clear.png?emoji-roll-eyes-1744 So when I saw this I called to see what offer I was booked under. The PCP called someone at the casino while I was on hold and then she told me yes I did have the offer with the cash and VIP perks. I did find under the summery something about a credit that had to be used on board and under total it said 'Credits are in'.

So I just called the number on the offer and spoke with someone else that said I am under a casino offer and it just says Casino Special offer. She said it didn't say what one as there are many. she said She really couldn't tell me much but to call my PCP back in a couple of days and ask to get a supervisor to find out which one I have. She also said that the booking offers from the casino often don't show the perks anywhere and that I just need to take the flier with me on the cruise.

It's not like I booked this for the perks, I booked it for the price. Still it would be nice to know. I do find it odd that Princess people don't seem to know what code I'm under! Anyway I look at it I got a great cruise for a really cheap price. I'm traveling solo and did upgrade to a BD that I picked for $80. more.

I have never seen my casino cash listed in my booking. But I know things change and my last cruise was a year ago. I booked last week based on the VIP offer I received. I will be emailing the players club tomorrow to verify the casino cash.

Guess I need to put that flyer with my passport for backup documentation.

I haven't been able to find an e-mail address for the players club. Where would I find it so I can e-mail them to find out what code I'm booked under?

While looking thru my e-mails I did find another offer for this cruise that I had gotten in an e-mail dated the same as the VIP offer. It has a different code than the one I got in the mail but does not have the details in it. So I had 2 offers for the same cruise with different codes. I may not know anything until I board.

Having the free play from a VIP offer appear on the Travel Summary is a new thing. I've had the CBS casino cash many times and it was never shown anywhere but after I booked under the latest VIP offer it did appear.

It's bizarre that they can't tell you which offer you booked under. For the VIP offers they most definitely provide a roster of folks who booked that offer because the lanyards with your badge that identifies you as qualifying for free drinks etc. will be in your room upon boarding. If it isn't past the final payment date and / or you don't have a non refundable deposit, you might want to have them quote you the cost of booking the VIP offer now. If it's the same or less you can cancel what you have and be certain that you are part of the VIP group.

My "Free Play Casino Cash" has never shown up on my personalizer - I am sailing in 2 weeks with $400 in casino cash for each of us and will be bring along the letter from the casino and the e-mail verification from the casino department

I am a bit confused. We received the same email offer mentioned above and jumped on the $399 balcony. To my knowledge, we have not received a paper invitation in the mail. How would I go about finding out what perks we get? My summary does not show any casino cash, just the water package we bought.

I booked this on Feb 23 so I am past the final date. Also I got such a great rate that even if I don't have the cash and perks I wouldn't cancel or change it. I'm just trying to find out what offer I'm under so I know if I have the perks. It is strange that princess can't tell me what offer I'm under other than 'the casino offer'

I booked under the new offer just last week and I am not seeing anything. I think I will call.

Thank you for the e-mail address. I just sent them an e-mail with my booking info and asked them to verify the offer.

Usually when I book a cruise I call and request the offer I received. This time I hadn't checked my offers so when my PCP called and told me the rates of a couple of the cruises I was in a rush and said OK without asking about anything else. I just couldn't pass up the rate.

Have you called princess yet? maybe you will get someone that can tell you. If not then try using the e-mail address that RMM34667 posted. Let us know what you find out.

I just called the Ocean players club. 888-772-6697. Spoke with Shelby. She was very nice. Verified my casino cash amount listed under special services in my booking. She said it doesn't always show on the cruise personalizer. I emailed myself the flyer and will have as backup. I think everything is good. Except for the 5 month wait to sail.

Thank you for the number! I just called it and found out I'm not under the VIP offer. That was all I have been trying to find out. I had a feeling I wasn't under that offer because of the low $399 per person balcony rate. The girl I spoke with said I'd have paid a lot more with the VIP offer than I did.

Hopefully this will help others.

Glad you got to the bottom of what happened! I agree that some of the casino booking offers have crazy low fares. We had one of those last fall and jumped on a last minute 7 day cruise on the Regal booking a mini suite for $299 PP. On that cruise we could have gotten an inside for $49 PP. No extra perks there. The VIP offers that I've gotten are usually a set percentage discount off qualifying cruises + a small amount of free play + free drinks etc. Those who play a lot more than I do get a free VIP cruise too.

Something to be aware of on ‘free’ cruises booked through Princess Player’s Club – Travel Insurance.

I recently took advantage of offers and booked four cruises for 2022.  Since I have made Elite status – I am used to buying the Standard Princess Protected and being upgrade to Platinum coverage. So – I purchased the Princess Vacation Protection for each cruise.

BE AWARE – when you book – the travel protection is charged based on the VALUE of the cruise. The coverage is for – what you PAID.

(15 day LA – Hawaii round trip, $4k+ value - $287 coverage cost. Policy only covers $200 deposit – and medical and other coverage.)

I called to confirm this – and was told - ‘but you get medical and other coverage…’ Coverage for these can be purchased elsewhere - for a SMALL fraction of the fee I was charged.

In fact – I plan on buying an annual travel insurance plan to cover all my travels for 2022.

I cancelled the PVP for all four cruises – and am waiting so see if/when I get refund.

Yes!

We have also researched a plan for the year, a lot cheaper than paying based on value especially if the cruise is comped.
