Sunday Hours

Our itinerary has us calling on George Town on a Sunday.

 

I have seen conflicting reports as to exactly what may be open during our port hours, from "everything is buttoned up tighter than a drum," to "some shops near the tender dock might be open."

 

Which is it, in your recent experience?

When we were there I believe most things were opened. Of course government places were closed.

Bars and restaurants in George Town tend to be open on Sundays anyway - enough people live on the island or stay there and dive that it makes it worthwhile for them.

 

As for retail, I believe that quite a few of them will open when there are cruise ships in port, especially those that cater mostly to cruise ship visitors.
