YVRBassElectric Posted March 16, 2018 #26 Share Posted March 16, 2018 Panama cruise in 2015, average age was 64! At dinner one night someone said to me "so nice to have a young face at dinner" I was 45, hadn't noticed the average age. Someone was taken off by ambulance at every port, including Panama. Thought we were safe on the LA to Vancouver leg, nope, 1 crew and 1 passenger taken off in Victoria. I make sure I have medical insurance!
ElaineKeagy Posted March 17, 2018 #27 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Usually a death on board a cruise ship is news. I haven’t heard anything about this. Did it really happen? On world cruises it’s not uncommon to lose 3-4 passengers. That why there’s a morgue on board. Sent from my iPad using Forums

Rare Tigerlily75 Posted March 17, 2018 #29 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Elderly people die on cruise ships quite regularly, it's not something that is newsworthy. A death makes the news when it's something out of the ordinary. But if you're morbidly curious, there is a website that lists deaths on cruise ships, which I once came across by accident (just so you know I wasn't specifically searching for it!) - cruiseshipdeaths . com
adam_s_allen Posted March 17, 2018 #30 Share Posted March 17, 2018 Unless the cause of death is the cruise lines fault I don’t care/ don’t need to know.
