Rare Keith1010 Posted March 23, 2018 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2018 One of the things I like about Kodiak is very few cruise ships visit there so the people you meet are the locals who typically live there year round. Some photos from 2012. The Russian influence.

Rare Keith1010 Posted March 23, 2018 Author #9 Share Posted March 23, 2018 For those on tour your tour bus. Good use of buses since schools were out for summer break.

Daisyloo Posted March 24, 2018 #14 Share Posted March 24, 2018 Nice photos and thanks for posting. We will be in Kodiak in July. Our port time is short - 7 to 2pm. Is it easy to just get off the ship and wander around in Kodiak. Will we be able to see things without doing some type of tour? Any advice would be appreciated. Thanks. Both times we were at Kodiak we did just that. We walked on our own. In fact we went to some places that the tour bus (school bus with tour guide) did. Very easy to do on our own.
