joepeka Posted March 25, 2018 #2 Share Posted March 25, 2018 It will most likely be the Old San Juan cruise port. That is right in the middle of the Old San Juan area with lots of shops within a few blocks of the port.
CarnivalPlatCruiser Posted March 25, 2018 #3 Share Posted March 25, 2018 It will dock in Old San Juan. Tons of shopping as your right in the heart of the historic district. Have a blast!
mets123 Posted March 25, 2018 Author #4 Share Posted March 25, 2018 Is there a liquor store on the pier or nearby?
Stick93 Posted March 26, 2018 #5 Share Posted March 26, 2018 Is there a liquor store on the pier or nearby? Liquor store is in the port but you have to go upstairs to the main shop - and it’s okay. You have better duty free shops in Grand Turks and Amber cove if you are going on the summer NYC cruises. You cannot miss those shops as you walk through them to get on and off the ship. Prices were better than the ship and selection was larger. Sent from my iPad using Forums

joepeka Posted May 4, 2018 #11 Share Posted May 4, 2018 Only alcoholic purchases will be held till the end of the cruise. All other purchases can be brought back to your stateroom. Good point. I assumed the poster was asking about alcohol but yes, anything else you buy in port (that isn't prohibited) can be taken back on board and to your cabin. :)
travelbug4 Posted May 5, 2018 #12 Share Posted May 5, 2018 We docked on Pier 4 (on the end) in Old San Juan on the Glory a few weeks ago. I believe there are four piers in Old San Juan.

kgk Posted May 8, 2018 #15 Share Posted May 8, 2018 Best place to stock up on 12 packs of soda if you don't have Cheers. We can bring (another) 12pack of soda on from the ports? I assume not another bottle of wine?
joepeka Posted May 8, 2018 #16 Share Posted May 8, 2018 We can bring (another) 12pack of soda on from the ports? I assume not another bottle of wine? Yes you can, as long as it's in the Carnival-regulation-specified sealed cans and not bottles or boxes.
Amzh1 Posted May 9, 2018 #17 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Can you purchase and bring another bottle of wine on board in PR? Similar to bringing additional cans of soda on board in PR?
SNJCruisers Posted May 9, 2018 #18 Share Posted May 9, 2018 Can you purchase and bring another bottle of wine on board in PR? Similar to bringing additional cans of soda on board in PR? Yes you can, but probably not to drink on board. It will be held and delivered to you on the last night of your cruise. If delivered before dinner, then you may be able to enjoy it
